6 GREAT THINGS ABOUT TRANSIT:

1) The best real-time data.
The app uses the best transit agency data sources like MTA Bus Time, MTA Train Time, NJ Transit MyBus, SF MUNI Next Bus, CTA Bus Tracker, WMATA Next Arrivals, SEPTA Real-Time and many more. We combine that data with our fancy ETA prediction engine so that you get the most accurate real-time info possible for all transit modes - including buses, subways, trains, streetcars, metros, ferries, ridehail and more. Prefer to travel on two wheels? With GPS, you can see live bikeshare and scooter locations right on the map.

2) Travel offline
Bus schedules, stop locations, subway maps and even our trip planner are available offline.

3) Powerful trip planning
See fast and easy trips combining buses, subways and trains – the app even suggests routes that combine multiple options in one trip like bus + bike or scooter + metro. You’ll find great trip plans that you never even considered! Don’t like to walk a lot or use a certain mode or transit agency? Personalize your travel in the settings.

4) GO: our step-by-step navigator*
Receive departure alarms to catch your bus or train, and get alerted when it’s time to get off or transfer. When using GO, you’ll also crowdsource more accurate info and real-time ETAs for other passengers– and rack up points and thank yous for being the most helpful rider on your line.

5) User Reports
See what other riders have to say! With millions of users contributing, you’ll get helpful info on crowding levels, on-time performance, the closest subway exits, and more.

6) Easy Payments
Pay your transit fare and buy bikeshare passes directly in the app in over 75 cities.

Something's really off..& updates are not helping. Busses disappear when enroute...press Go for trip then it starts a whole other trip for later, when I pressed Go for that trip. Go button is barely there when trying to plan route. Plus is that it does sometimes let you know there's a service delay in the area. Update 5/08/2025 Some busses never show up on app, the ones out of service show up. Refresh button then says trip already passed when is supposed to be the next bus. Another glitch.

Update: More often than not the data here is just worse than in other free applications and often 2-3m behind the true position. Unfortunately only the closest 2-3 routes are shown for free, meaning that the bus info you need may be hidden behind the premium paywall. Yes it's hard to monetize apps, but putting basic functionality behind a paywall makes the free version worse than many other apps which can also receive their data directly from transit agencies.

Hey there, I'm sorry you're finding the Uber option intrusive. You can hide all of Uber from the app by clicking on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the main screen, then tap Options and uncheck Uber from the list of transit modes. I hope this helps - please let me know if you're having trouble finding what you're looking for!

This app works alright for the most part. The times it displays are a better match to the actual bus schedule compared to using Google Maps. Most of the time it tracks the bus in real time, but it occasionally doesn't work correctly. My main issue with this app is the GO bus tracking. You'll choose a bus and hit GO, and it'll start tracking it properly. However after a few minutes of proper tracking it always changes to the next bus coming after the one I'm supposed to be tracking.

What’s new

Spring hath sprung. But while moths have returned to our closets, bugs have disappeared from our app. Also:

- Does your transit agency let you tap your credit card (or phone) to pay? How much does a single fare cost? We’ll now let you know (where data’s available)
- Our designer Béa added an easter egg when you open the app in dark mode…
- …she also added a rainbow road’s worth of prideful icons to the app!

See you next update.
