This application is about having a bit of fun with those amazing little RTL-SDR dongles, whilst listening to air traffic conversations in your local area. It's nice and easy to use so why not give it a try?
There are two ways to use the application. The first is to use an RTL-SDR dongle and an SDR driver, available from Google Play. Selecting the Driver option in the application menu will open the driver page on Google Play. The second way is to connect to an instance of rtl_tcp running on a remote computer, most likely over WiFi. You will need a good network connection for this to work reliably so use of the driver is probably the preferred way to use the application in most cases.

Great little app, very light on resources, and easy to set up and use. Able to connect to my SDR station remotely, even over cellular! Also the developers are very quick to respond to questions and action minor tweaks.

Doesn't really work. With Nooelec NESDR Smartee XTR and tuned external antenna I was getting much, much worse reception on Airband than with an indoor HT with classic dualband (2m/70cm) rubber ducky. Edit: Thanks for responding, that matters. PPM of the dongle is 0.5 and that could actually be this, I remember I had to adjust it with SDR Sharp. Will try again in some time soon. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear that. Have you checked the ppm of your dongle? UPDATE: New version V1.28 allows frequency correction ppm to be entered. It only allows integer values to be entered, so not sure how that corresponds to the 0.5 you mentioned above. Feel free to email support if you are still having issues. See Help for email address.

Very cool apps, this and the FM radio one. I hope you continue the trend of SDR apps and make some scanners for other frequencies. Also a paid no ad version would be amazing! Tha is for your hard work!

What’s new
Bias tee can now be turned on/off. Note that this is only possible if your dongle has a controllable bias tee and if you are using the updated RTL-SDR driver or rtl_tcp. Search the Play Store for updated driver called "RTL-SDR Blog TCP Driver".
