About this app

New trigger! 🎉 Remap your Assistant & Bixby, and DPAD buttons!

What can be remapped?

* Volume buttons.
* Power button via Google Assistant, Pixel Active Edge, Double press Bixby button.
* Bluetooth/wired keyboards.
* Fingerprint gestures on supported devices.
* DPAD buttons on game controllers.
* Buttons on other connected devices should also work.

You can combine multiple keys from a specific device or any device to form a "trigger". Each trigger can have multiple actions. The keys can be set to be pressed at the same time or one after another in a sequence. Keys can be remapped when they are short pressed, long pressed or double pressed. A keymap can have a set of "constraints" so it only has an effect in certain situations.

What can’t be remapped?
* Mouse buttons
* Thumb sticks or triggers on game controllers

Your key maps do not work if the screen is OFF. This is a limitation in Android. There is nothing the dev can do.

What can I remap my keys to do?
Some actions will only work on rooted devices and specific Android versions.

There are too many features to list here so check out the full list here: https://docs.keymapper.club/user-guide/actions

Permissions
You don't have to grant all the permissions for the app to work. The app will tell you if a permission needs to be granted for a feature to work.

* Accessibility Service: Basic requirement for remapping to work. It is needed so the app can listen to and block key events.
* Device Admin: To turn the screen off when using the action to turn off the screen.
* Modify System Settings: To change the brightness and rotation settings.
* Camera: To control the flashlight.

On some devices, enabling the accessibility service will disable "enhanced data encryption".

I wanted a quicker way to enable flashlight. I was able to map holding the volume down button and pressing volume up to toggle my flashlight on/off. I've also mapped a quick press sequence of vol down, vol down, vol up to play/pause media. After first creating these, the volume buttons stopped working normally as volume buttons (bad). To fix, I had to go into the profile and add the option of "do not remap" on each of the buttons, and now everything works as it should. Thanks team!

One of the best remapping tools I've used, and my personal favorite. Shizuku compatible and easily integrated with Tasker via shortcuts and intents. Ordinarily, I'd rate ★★★★☆ for an app like this, because I reserve 5 star ratings for apps which I have no complaints about. Key Mapper gets 5 from me because, despite all the excellent features, it's 100% free. REALLY free. No restrictions or limitations you have to pay to get rid of, no ads and, most importantly, absolutely no data collected. 🏆

I think it's a really cool app, if I had any suggestions I would think it should allow a button to initiate a swipe across a portion of the screen chosen. And also a a button assignment to press one section of the screen, so controllers can be used for apps that don't support controllers. I don't know if it would be hard but I think it's a cool idea. Thanks for all the effort tho. 😊😊

What’s new

New trigger 🎉!

You can now trigger your key maps from any of the ways your phone launches the assistant! This could be the Bixby button, Power button, or a button on your headset.
