The app recently will show the battery life and location of my devices but will not be successful is the "play sound" function. This applies to pebblebee and Google devices (pixel 9 pro, pixel buds pro 2). This makes the find my device network useless. I've tried removing and readding devices but it seems like this is a bigger bug. Up until this point, I used on the network daily for finding misplaced items. Very unfortunate.

This is a Jan/25 review after using app and trackers for a few months. The idea of prioritizing privacy is noble, but in the end it makes the Android Find My Device network flawed. When outside an airport environment, I usually get better tracking via Tile trackers than via Find My Device network-only devices. That is strange because Tile kept its network proprietary and, technically, much smaller. The lack of a “left behind” feature, and no hope for one, is also disappointing.

Doesn't allow you to choose what account you want associated with trackers. It forcefully chooses one for you. The only option at this time is to remove your other play store accounts (which automatically removes and deletes apps, messages, literally everything) in order to force it to connect to your other account. Which makes nearly useless when you're attempting to switch over to one account.

What’s new

Find My Device helps you locate your belongings
(like your wallet and keys with a tracker tag)
and devices (like your phone and tablet). You can play a sound on your device to find it.
If the device is offline or far away, use the network to locate it for you — all while keeping
location data encrypted and private from Google.
