The Hay Day Halloween 2024 update has arrived with a bang. The popular farming simulation title from Supercell is rolling out a big update, introducing a new Scenic Mode, Sanctuary animals, Edit Mode enhancements, Halloween-themed content, and more.
New Farm Pass
This month, Hay Day is launching a new Farm Pass that includes two charming decorations and a task event featuring the Mausoleum Deco. Both of them will introduce a temporary currency to help you unlock items in the Catalog Event.

The Catalog updates with new rewards every week, so be sure to get them before they are gone. In the first week, you can look forward to classic Halloween decorations that you might have missed over the past few years, including the Mummy Pig.

Following the first week, the new update will roll out, bringing lots of Halloween-themed content, fresh events, and exciting features.
Scenic Mode
Hay Day is also introducing a new Scenic Mode that removes all on-screen buttons and icons, allowing you to appreciate your designs and take breathtaking screenshots.

Edit Mode Improvements
The game is also introducing several exciting enhancements to Edit Mode. First, they have revamped the Edit Storage Mode to make it as user-friendly as the Deco Shop. You can now use the same search and filter options both on your Farm and in Edit Mode.

The sliding animation has been removed when using the Brush option, allowing for easier placement of multiple items without the Shop shifting each time while doing it. Removing items is also very simple now. However, please keep in mind that while in Erase Mode, you won’t be able to move your map, so make sure to turn it off when you want to navigate around.
If you accidentally remove something, you can use the Undo button to restore it to normal. Now when you put your decorations from the Shop, they will remain exactly where you set them, even in the red zone. If you have a change of thought, simply tap outside to return the decoration to its original position or back to the Shop.
Hay Day Halloween Update 2024: Halloween-themed content
A day after the update, a new temporary production building called the Halloween Treats Maker will be delivered to your farm. You can create Halloween treats and ship them off via Boat Orders to earn temporary currency, which lets you purchase new items and Halloween-themed decorations from the refreshed Catalog.

Plus, do keep in mind that earning Mastery Stars for your Halloween Treats Maker will enhance your treat production. The more you produce, the more temporary currency you will earn, allowing you to collect more items and decorations. You can complete two decoration collections to get rewards: the Halloween and the Spooky collection.
Chicken Valley
The Chicken Valley is returning this month with a few minor enhancements and it is also bringing a Clockworks Deco as a reward. If the feedback for it is positive, the game also plans to begin work on the Sanctuary Valley.
Sanctuary Animals
Two new baby ostriches are joining the Sanctuary family which you can unlock with Puzzle pieces once you have opened the Sanctuary space in your town area.
New changes are being made for the Puzzle Pieces, which now introduces fallback rewards. This means that if you have already collected all the animals in your Sanctuary Book, you will no longer have the chance to receive puzzle pieces as rewards.
Other Changes
Hay Day is also currently testing some new changes with a small group of players, and if everything goes smoothly, those changes will be implemented in the game in the coming weeks.
Multiple Truck Orders (Image via Supercell)
One of the upcoming changes is that you will soon be able to send multiple Truck Orders without having to wait for the truck to return. Just reopen the Order Board after the truck has departed, complete other orders in the meantime, and the truck will return with all your rewards.
That’s all for the Hay Day Halloween 2024 Update! Other smaller updates will also be coming soon in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
