inZOI System Requirements on PC

What are the inZOI system requirements? The new Sims-like game on the block, inZOI, has officially entered early access. Getting it to run on your gaming PC could be quite challenging thanks to higher-than-average system requirements.

If you’re planning to run inZOI at the highest settings possible, you’re going to need one of the best graphics cards alongside one of the best gaming CPUs. Even looking toward the minimum tier, an Nvidia RTX card is listed, which means this is yet another game to ditch the now-defunct GeForce GTX GPUs.

Here are the inZOI minimum and recommended system requirements:

Take our inZOI system requirements PC benchmark test to answer the question… Can I run inZOI?

The inZOI minimum requirements are high by modern standards, but that’s also expected given that this game is developed in Unreal Engine 5. This means that a lot of older gaming PCs won’t meet the requirements, which demand an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT GPU paired with an Intel Core i5 10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU.

You’ll also need 12GB of RAM, an awkward number, but more games are moving towards 16GB as the bare minimum now, and upgrading is cheap in 2025. You can check out our best gaming RAM guide if you need some advice on which sticks to pick up.

Next up are the inZOI recommended specs, which call for an Intel Core i7 12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU alongside an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU. The RAM requirement here also jumps to 16GB.

There are no performance targets or expectations laid out in the inZOI system requirements, but the recommended specs are situated just below the high ones, meaning you should be able to use the high graphical preset but with a lower frame rate expected compared to the high requirements.

Here are the inZOI medium and high system requirements:

The inZOI medium requirements are straightforward in that this is what you need to play the game using the medium graphics preset. You’ll need an Intel Core i7 11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D alongside an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600.

Finally, we have the inZOI high requirements. These are what you’ll need to play the game on the highest graphical preset with minimal upscaling. You will need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX paired with an Intel Core i7 14700K or AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The RAM requirement here also doubles from previous tiers, meaning 32GB is needed.

Toward the end of the Steam post, eight graphics profiles are listed, with each one (pictured below) addressing the ideal upscaling, ray tracing, and graphics profiles to use at each tier, depending on whether you want better graphics or better performance.

In each suggestion, some form of upscaling is listed, with Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS all supported by the game at launch. It’s worth noting that in the ‘Better Performance’ listing for the minimum requirements, it’s recommended to use an Ultra Performance upscaling profile. At 1080p this would reduce the native resolution to just 640 x 360 and could introduce some extreme ghosting and a generally blurry image, which is far from ideal.

This ultimately leads me to believe that inZOI is going to be a taxing game on your gaming PC even if you meet the minimum requirements. It also suggests that inZOI won’t find itself running on the Steam Deck any time soon, either. The good news is that inZOI Studio acknowledges its lofty system requirements stating “We will continue working on optimizations to improve performance while finding ways to lower the system requirements without compromising overall quality.”

The inZOI download size varies depending on which tier of the system requirements you’re targeting. This suggests that additional high-resolution textures can be downloaded if you are aiming for higher requirements. Having the best SSD for gaming isn’t required, but the aforementioned Steam post does point out the benefits of having an SSD over a hard drive, including faster data transfer speeds, improved texture streaming, fewer frame drops, and faster game install and update times.

The inZOI release date has arrived, at least for early access, but you still have time to make sure your gaming PC is ready for this new Sims competitor.
